LEARNER LICENCE
Must be at least 16 years old
Require evidence of identity
Must be medically fit to drive
Must have a good knowledge of the road rules
Must pass the written road rules test
DRIVING INSTRUCTION
Record 100 hours of accumulated on-road driving experience in your logbook
When driving you must display L-plates front and rear
Must obey the No alcohol limit
Must only drive while supervised
P1 LICENCE
Must have held Learner Licence for at least 12 months
Must pass your practical driving test
When driving you must display red P-plates
Must obey the No alcohol limit
P2 LICENCE
Must have held P1 Licence for at least 12 months
Must pass your hazard perception test
When driving you must display green P-plates
Must obey the No alcohol limit
OPEN LICENCE
Must have held P2 Licence for at least 12 months or
2 years if under 25 when P1 licence issued
